Job Summary
PRN Occupational Therapist in a skilled nursing facility providing ADL training, therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment training, and environmental modifications. Conduct assessments of residents’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning; develop individualized treatment plans; implement rehabilitation interventions; document progress and discharge plans; collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists; educate residents and families on techniques and safe home exercise programs; participate in team meetings and care planning; stay current with best practices and regulatory changes; maintain licensure and uphold ethical standards. Requires state licensure or eligibility, CPR certification, and clinical experience in a similar setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- CPR certification
- 6 months of Clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred
- Ability to build rapport with residents through a compassionate and caring demeanor
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with residents, families, and team members
- Commitment to providing high-quality, resident-centered care with empathy and compassion
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning and intervention implementation
