Job Summary
Administer occupational therapy to patients in their residences per physician orders and the plan of care under clinical supervision. Conduct initial evaluations, histories, and skilled procedures while improving or minimizing residual physical disabilities. Direct and supervise personnel as required, consult with physicians on treatment changes, and instruct families on home programs and exercises. Prepare clinical notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries; submit evaluations and recertifications to physicians for approval. Periodically participate in patient care planning, inservice training, and QAPI activities. Perform moderate lifting and extended standing as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and/or certified by successfully completing the National Certification examination
- Is eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing
- Ability to participate in physical activity
- Ability to work for extended period of time while standing and being involved in physical activity
- Moderate lifting
- Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis
Desired Qualifications
