Job Summary
Evaluate selected diagnoses using acute care and rehabilitation techniques, then design goal-directed interventions to improve patients' daily activities. Develop and implement treatment plans through clinical reasoning, while documenting evaluations, progress notes, and discharge reports per department policies. Provide supervision for Level I students and Level II students with one year of experience, and offer educational programs to nursing and medical students. Maintain current CPR certification, complete 40 hours of continuing education biannually, and demonstrate professionalism with patients and interdisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) - State Board of Healing Arts
- High School Graduate
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department
- Meets all state requirements for continuing education with the Kansas Board of Healing Arts (40 hours/biannually)
- Maintains current CPR certification
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department
