Job Summary
Develop and implement comprehensive treatment programs for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients to restore functional skills, utilizing evidence-based interventions and Goal Attainment Scaling. Collaborate with families to establish goals, review progress, and facilitate safe transitions while recommending specialty services or DME needs. Conduct regular assessments, document findings in compliance with center policies, and participate in intra-departmental meetings, research projects, and student supervision as assigned. Maintain strict adherence to clinical standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements while adapting to changing patient conditions and work demands.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited program in occupational therapy
- BLS certification
- Licensed to practice in the state of Georgia
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of growth, development, and the ability to obtain, interpret and disseminate information in terms of age specific patient needs (adolescent, adult, and geriatric)
- Competency in time management, organization, prioritization, and critical thinking
- Ability to effectively communicate using timely verbal, non-verbal and written communication
- Ability to adapt to changing work demands and work environment
- Critical thinking skills to make sound judgments to monitor and respond to patient needs or changes in condition
- Ability to complete orientation and initial assessment of competency successfully by determined due date
- Ability to complete mandatory education and annual competency assessment requirements by determined due date
- Ability to safely, effectively, and efficiently move, guide, or place patients using body, tools, or special devices
- Ability to transfer and position patients consistent with lifting up to 30 lbs
- Ability to meet transportation and driving guidelines as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years recent clinical experience
