Job Summary
Provide comprehensive patient assessments across all ages in a Rural Health Clinic; diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions; develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans; prescribe medications; order, interpret, and review laboratory tests and imaging; provide preventive care, health education, and patient counseling; document encounters in EMR; collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care; refer to specialists and follow up on consults; ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements; participate in quality improvement and continuing education; lead clinic staff to deliver high-quality patient care; maintain HIPAA-compliant practices and professional conduct.
Required Qualifications
- MSN
- DNP
- MPAS
- DMSc
- or equivalent advanced degree
- Active, unencumbered state license
- DEA and BLS certification
- DOT certification
- Nurse Practitioners must be permitted to treat all age groups, from infant to geriatric, as per board specialty such as Family Nurse Practitioner
- Strong interpersonal communication and knowledge of clinical practice standards
