Job Summary
Independent contractor Nurse Practitioner to support military personnel through physical health assessments, health-history review, and readiness documentation for US Army Reserve, National Guard, Navy Reserve, Marine Forces Reserve, Coast Guard Reserve, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve. Responsibilities include reviewing medical records and questionnaires, interviewing service members to identify current concerns (including behavioral health), and documenting readiness in the service member’s medical record using a proprietary system. Requires active NP license, CPR/BLS, and willingness to travel and work weekends; experience in primary/urgent/occupational health and mobile medical services is preferred; knowledge of military systems and terminology is desired. Supervising physician may be required by state law; positions may involve extended hours and work at remote military installations; background checks and E-Verify are part of the hiring process. Required Qualifications
- Active NP license in the state
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health - preferred
- Experience with mobile medical services - preferred
- Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology - preferred
- Adaptable to fast paced environments, with large volumes of service members seen daily
- Able to work extended hours
- Able to work in various locations, including remote military installations
- Able to travel, with weekend availability - preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Not Required - Diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications
