Job Summary
PRN-Nurse Practitioner providing services as independent contractor for Military Service members; responsibilities include performing Physical Health Assessments, reviewing health histories and medical records, interviewing service members, identifying urgent concerns (including behavioral health), and documenting results for readiness classification in the proprietary system; requires active NP license in the state, CPR/BLS, willingness to travel to remote military installations and work weekends, with background checks and drug screening; experience in primary/urgent/occupational health and mobile medical services preferred; eligible to work in South Carolina (Charleston) with weekend availability and potential supervision by a supervising physician per state requirements; DOCS Health emphasizes equal opportunity employment.
Required Qualifications
- Active NP license in the state
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health - preferred
- Experience with mobile medical services - preferred
- Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology - preferred
- Adaptable to fast paced environments, with large volumes of service members seen daily
- Able to work extended hours
- Able to work in various locations, including remote military installations
- Able to travel, with weekend availability - preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Not Required - Diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications
