Job Summary
PRN-Nurse Practitioner needed as an independent contractor to provide military readiness and health assessment services, primarily on weekends with some weekday coverage in West Virginia. Responsibilities include supporting Physical Health Assessments, reviewing health history and records, interviewing service members, identifying urgent concerns (including Behavioral Health), and documenting results for readiness classification in the military medical record using a proprietary system. Supervising physician may be required depending on state, with active NP license and CPR/BLS certification. Experience in Primary Care/Urgent Care/Occupational Health and mobile medical services preferred, along with knowledge of military systems and terminology. Ability to work extended hours, travel to remote military installations, and operate across various locations is expected. Opportunities align with DOCS Health’s fixed-clinic, mobile treatment center, telemedicine, and portable deployment models; background checks and E-Verify are part of the hiring process.
Required Qualifications
- Active NP license in the state
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health - preferred
- Experience with mobile medical services - preferred
- Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology - preferred
- Adaptable to fast paced environments, with large volumes of service members seen daily
- Able to work extended hours
- Able to work in various locations, including remote military installations
- Able to travel, with weekend availability - preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Not Required - Diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications
