Job Summary
PRN-Nurse Practitioner independent-contractor role to support Military Service members with Health Readiness Assessments. Responsibilities include supporting Physical Health Assessments, reviewing health history and records, interviewing personnel to identify medical concerns (including Behavioral Health), and documenting results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using a proprietary system. Requires active NP license in the state, CPR/BLS, flexibility to work weekends (and some weekdays) at various locations including remote military installations, travel as needed, and strong communication and computer skills. Preferred experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, Occupational Health, and mobile medical services; familiarity with military systems/protocols/terminology. Supervising Physician may be required depending on state requirements. Relocation assistance is not specified. Required Qualifications
- Active NP license in the state
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health - preferred
- Experience with mobile medical services - preferred
- Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology - preferred
- Adaptable to fast paced environments, with large volumes of service members seen daily
- Able to work extended hours
- Able to work in various locations, including remote military installations
- Able to travel, with weekend availability - preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Not Required - Diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications
