Job Summary
Provide occupational health and acute care to employees at Marathon Health clinic locations, including physical exams, injury evaluation, vaccinations, prescribed treatments, referrals, and care coordination with clients. Lead and supervise clinical staff (MA/LPN/RN) when needed; collaborate with physicians and client representatives to design and manage health center programs and policies; ensure compliance with HIPAA, regulatory standards, and quality/safety initiatives; perform patient history reviews, record-keeping, and interpretation of diagnostics (e.g., spirometry, resting EKG); manage standing orders for licensed nurses and medical assistants; counsel patients on preventive health, diet, and wellness; coordinate with employers on workers’ compensation and occupational health policies; maintain licensure, participate in continuing education, and utilize electronic medical record systems. Demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and commitment to delivering high-quality primary and occupational health services.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nursing
- Nurse Practitioner license in the state of assigned work
- Board certified in specified area of medical specialty
- Federal DEA Certification
- ALS/First Aid/CPR Certifications
- Certification for independent prescriptive authority to prescribe medications and controlled substances
- 2+ years of experience in internal medicine or family/general practice
- 2+ years of experience in occupational medicine preferred
- Full Practice Authority is strongly preferred where applicable per State guidelines
