Job Summary
PRN MRI Tech responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies, on site and/or remote. Responsibilities include pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic technique, producing high-quality diagnostic images, operating multiple MR systems, training/orienting new technologists and assistants (on site and/or remote), and effective communication with radiologists, patients, and customers. Must ensure safety, address concerns, and support troubleshooting in a mobile or fixed-site environment; requires ARRT(R)/ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, CPR, possible state licensing, and vaccination considerations; willing to travel to multiple locations and work at several sites. Preferred experience includes an Associate’s degree and ARRT MR registry, with 1 year MRI experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- ARRT(R) or ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT
- State license, if applicable
- CPR Certification
- 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program
- MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required
- Ability to work at several locations
- Local travel may be required
- COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment
- Preferred: Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT
- 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Experience
