Job Summary
PRN Medical Assistant to support primary care teams at Marathon Health. Responsibilities span clinical and front-desk duties: escorting patients, preparing rooms, taking vitals, performing blood draws, injections, and administering medications/immunizations as directed, coordinating with contracted labs, and assisting with care planning to address gaps in care. Also handles front-desk tasks such as scheduling, medical-record requests, documentation, referrals, and outreach to engage patients. Maintains supplies and equipment for treatments and ensures timely communication of test results to patients via e-message, mail, or phone.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant (preferably in Primary Care)
- Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program
- National or state MA certification or registration (strongly preferred; required in states where certification/registration is required)
- CPR/BLS certification required at start date
- Phlebotomy experience is preferred
