Job Summary
Escort patients to exam rooms, ensure thorough cleaning and stocking, and review previous medical information while gathering updated health data. Take vitals, perform blood draws, administer medications and immunizations, and assist with procedures under provider direction. Handle front desk duties including patient scheduling, medical record abstraction, check-in/check-out, and coordinate specialist visits. Process test results and provide timely updates to patients as directed. Maintain clinical supplies and equipment, and participate in outreach to drive patient engagement. Requires minimum one year of Medical Assistant experience, BLS certification, and state-specific certification where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant
- Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program
- MA certification or registration
- CPR/BLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred
- Phlebotomy experience
- Experience in Primary Care
