Job Summary
PRN weekend Medical Assistant performing phlebotomy, immunizations, EKG, and manual vitals for mobile/portable medical services supporting U.S. military Reserve and National Guard units. Requires Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or equivalent training with phlebotomy certification preferred and CPR/BLS certification; minimum one year experience preferred; must be comfortable in a fast-paced, weekend-as-needed environment in Huntington, WV. Responsibilities include phlebotomy/blood draw, immunizations, EKG, vitals, vision, and adherence to universal precautions; experience with military settings and mobile medical services preferred. Proficiency with computer programs and a caring, team-oriented attitude are expected. Background check and drug screening with E-Verify used in hiring.
Required Qualifications
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or Equivalent Training from Accredited Medical Assisting Training
- Phlebotomy Certification - preferred
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum One (1) year of experience - preferred
- Passionate, friendly, and caring individual
- Utilize universal precautions for patient care
- Experience working with military - preferred
- Experience working with mobile medical services - preferred
- Proficient with computer programs
- Must have weekend availability
