PRN Mammography Technologist

Job Summary
Mammography Technologists operate a mammography unit to produce diagnostic images of the breasts, explain procedures to patients, position and immobilize patients, and monitor the scanning process to ensure high-quality images. Responsibilities include reviewing requisitions, determining exposure factors, educating patients, ensuring safety during exams, archiving images, and assisting with compliance protocols. Candidates must have completed an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, hold essential certifications, and possess state licensure. Additional duties involve equipment calibration, performing quality assurance checks, and providing support to new hires and students.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T.(R) (ARRT) in good standing
- Certification in Mammography: R.T.(R) (M) (ARRT)
- Current state licensure (RL) required prior to employment
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross
- Successful completion of 40 hours of mammography training
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
Additional Requirements
- Must have the ability to float to other CCF locations in the region
- All offers of employment are followed by testing for controlled substances
- You will be required to comply with an influenza prevention program, including obtaining an influenza vaccination on an annual basis or obtaining an approved exemption
