Job Summary
Direct and coordinate activities of aides and perform basic daily nursing functions to meet the nursing needs of residents efficiently while maintaining high standards of care. Issue proper medications and work PRN shifts with a $2 differential for nights. Maintain knowledge of human development and aging processes to provide elder-centered support. Model ICARE values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence by communicating professionally and respectfully with residents, families, and coworkers.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work PRN
- Graduation from an accredited vocational school of nursing
- Current Texas LVN license
- Knowledgeable of human development, including the processes of aging, and of social and health problems confronting older persons
- Ability to model a service attitude toward others
- Ability to take ownership in solving problems
- Ability to take the initiative to make things better
- Ability to be friendly and courteous to residents, families and coworkers
- Ability to model MRC's ICARE Values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence
- Ability to communicate professionally, respectfully and tactfully in all situations
