Job Summary
PRN LPN providing in-home nurse visits in Montgomery County, MD; responsibilities include patient assessment, planning and evaluating care, documenting data, medication administration, IVs, vital signs, wound care, routine nursing tasks (temperature, BP, dressing wounds, enemas, catheterizations), caregiver training and mentoring, care coordination with RN and healthcare team, and charting; requires licensed Maryland LPN, IV certificate, CPR and First Aid, TB and Hep B vaccines, clean background, driving ability, and 1+ year home care experience; strong communication skills and comfort with electronic medical records; travel to cases and weekdays/weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Proof of successful challenge of LPN Exam
- Current unrestricted LPN license in the State of Maryland
- Current IV Certificate
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- TB vaccination and Hep B vaccination
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Clear criminal background and driving record
- Two professional references within healthcare
- Prior home care experience preferred
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills including ability to mentor caregivers
- Comfort with technology; EMR experience preferred
- Ability to drive and travel to cases as assigned
- Availability for weekdays and some weekends
