Job Summary
Support physician in clinical and administrative functions by interviewing patients to obtain medical information, recording assessments into an Electronic Medical Record, and performing venipuncture, basic laboratory tests, and other office-based procedures such as EKGs and injections. Utilize diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment including O2 therapy, maintain exam rooms, and manage patient flow according to scheduling. Assist with medical procedures, coordinate specialist visits and referrals, and respond to calls from patients, pharmacies, and other medical offices as delegated. Make the medical visit a positive and supportive experience for each patient while ensuring physicians have necessary resources.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Graduation from a formal training program
- Current BLS certification
- Nursing license to practice in the state for which you are applying
- Ability to give injections
- Ability to complete EKGs
- Ability to perform other office-based procedures
- Exceptional phlebotomy skills
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience preferred as an LPN
- Experience ideally in primary care
