Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed provider or Registered Professional Nurse while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state, meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements. This role requires the ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs regularly, with prolonged standing and walking during each shift. The position demands the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat. Applicants must possess a graduate degree from an accredited practical nursing program.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk during each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification (must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri)
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
