Job Summary
PRN Licensed Practical Nurse in outpatient MUSC Health East Cooper Clinic (Mt. Pleasant, SC). Responsible for quality patient care under the direction of a physician or licensed healthcare provider. Duties include rooming patients, taking vitals and health history, documenting in an electronic medical record, giving injections and assisting with minor procedures. Maintain and calibrate clinical/lab equipment per OSHA, DHEC, and UMA guidelines; maintain patient records and communicate care plans; screen and educate patients; assist with scheduling and referrals; triage calls; monitor and distribute medications including samples and controlled substances. Must hold an SC LPN license (or compact state) and current BLS certification. Minimum 8 scheduled weekly hours; PRN/as-needed schedule with no evenings, weekends, or holidays. Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Practical Nurse program
- Licensed as an LPN in the state of South Carolina or a compact state
- Current South Carolina LPN License or compact state license
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
