Job Summary
Perform catheter access and care for peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, and central lines, including vitals assessments and medication administration for antibiotics, TPN, and IVIG. Provide patient education on self-administration and submit electronic chart notes promptly. Conduct blood draws and manage supplies with free basic lab kits provided. Complete two visits per week with reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Helms Home Care serves in-home infusion patients across seven states, offering competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, and a Simple IRA match.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license
- Competence in the duties described above
- Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy
- Minimum 1-year experience in catheter maintenance and care
- Reliable transportation
- Access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
- Ability to communicate promptly with scheduling personnel
- Licensed driver
- Valid automobile insurance
