Job Summary
Perform catheter access and care for peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, and PICC lines; administer medications including antibiotics, TPN, and IVIG; and conduct vital signs assessments. Provide patient education on self-administration and submit visit notes through electronic charting. Expect to complete two visits per week while maintaining reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Helms Home Care, based in Denver, NC, offers in-home infusion services across multiple states with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, and free supplies for basic lab draws.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license
- Competent in the duties described above
- Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
- Reliable transportation
- Access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
- Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
- Expect to do 2 visits per week
- Licensed driver
- Valid automobile insurance
