Job Summary
PRN Hospital Pharmacist position at PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tavares. Responsibilities include verifying physician orders, adjusting dosages per protocols, supervising Pharmacy Technicians, ensuring compliance with accreditation and narcotics control, conducting IV sterile compounding, educating patients, and coordinating with nurses and physicians. Requires strong knowledge of drugs and protocols, proficiency with pharmacy information systems, antimicrobial stewardship duties, inventory control, and maintaining patient safety and quality of care. On-call duties and after-hours coverage are included; facility hours are Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm with additional on-call after hours, weekends, and holidays. Must hold a Florida pharmacy license in good standing and possess a PharmD or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; inpatient hospital experience preferred and ability to work in a flexible shift and on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed, “good standing” pharmacist in the state of Florida
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
- In-patient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Ability to work on call or be in an on call rotation
