Job Summary
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups, then collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Enter patient information accurately and timely, process billing and payments, and prepare specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen logs while handling administrative and clerical duties. Provide superior customer service to all patients. This PRN role in Birmingham, AL requires a high school diploma, three months of phlebotomy experience, and a clean driving record. Candidates must pass a color blindness test and possess reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 months or more of phlebotomy experience
- Reliable transportation
- Clean driving record if applicable
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
