Job Summary
Infusion Nurse I provides direct patient care in the home or alternate infusion site under close supervision, initiates and adjusts basic nursing plans of care, administers medications, educates patients and families, coordinates discharge planning, and ensures timely documentation for billing. The role requires RN licensure, CPR certification, and willingness to travel to patient homes (100% travel). Strong communication with clinical teams, ability to follow physician orders, and adherence to HIPAA and agency policies are essential. Preferred BSN and prior home health or acute care infusion experience are advantageous. Travel-intensive position with on-call responsibilities and potential supervisory duties in the absence of the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 0-2 years of infusion nursing experience
- Current CPR certification
- Required licensure to operate a motor vehicle with access to a vehicle for business travel
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting up to 75 pounds
- Proficiency with nursing documentation and computer systems
