Job Summary
Infusion Nurse I providing direct patient care in patients' homes or alternative infusion sites under supervision. Initiates and evaluates basic nursing plans of care, administers medications, educates patients/families, coordinates discharge planning, maintains real-time documentation for billing, and ensures compliance with physician orders and regulatory guidelines. Requires strong patient-care skills, HIPAA adherence, computer proficiency, and ability to travel to patients for infusion therapies; position may involve supervision of paraprofessionals and on-call responsibilities. Travel is 100% of the time; primary location Newark, NJ, with RN licensure in practice state and CPR certification. BSN preferred; 0-2 years infusion nursing experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 0-2 years of infusion nursing experience
- Current CPR certification
- Required licensure to operate a motor vehicle in the state of practice with access to a vehicle for business travel with proof of liability insurance
- BSN preferred (not required)
- Infusion/home health nursing experience preferred
