Job Summary
Infusion Nurse I provides direct patient care in the home or alternate infusion site under close supervision. Responsibilities include initiating and modifying nursing plan of care, administering treatments and medications, educating patients and families, communicating with the clinical team, and ensuring real-time documentation for billing and care continuity. The role requires active RN licensure, CPR certification, and ability to travel; preferred BSN and 1 year of home health or acute care infusion experience. The position emphasizes coordination of discharge planning, supervision/mentoring of paraprofessionals when applicable, adherence to HIPAA and regulatory standards, and competency with nursing technology tools to support plan of care in diverse home settings.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice
- Current CPR certification required
- Basic knowledge of computer operating systems and software applications
- Demonstrated competency in patient care standards for infusion services
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 1 year of previous RN experience in home health or acute care setting (preferred)
- Travel readiness: Willing to travel 100% of the time for business purposes
