Job Summary
The Home Health Occupational Therapist (PRN) will perform comprehensive in-home assessments to develop and implement individualized therapy plans addressing physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. Responsibilities include educating patients and families, utilizing exercises and adaptive equipment to improve daily living activities, monitoring progress with detailed reports to the supervising physician, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, maintaining records in compliance with standards, and participating in ongoing professional development. Requires Texas OT licensure, CPR, and 1-2 years of home health experience; duties are performed in patients' homes with flexible PRN scheduling and mileage reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Texas
- Current CPR Certification
- 1 - 2 years of clinical experience in a home health facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred
- Ability to build rapport with residents through a compassionate and caring demeanor
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with residents, families, and team members
- Commitment to providing high-quality, resident-centered care with empathy and compassion
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning and intervention implementation
- Physical Requirements: extensive description of mobility and stamina may be required
