Job Summary
Histotechnologist needed in Dallas, TX for a PRN 3rd shift role at Labcorp. Responsibilities include processing human tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic examination, sectioning embedded tissue with a microtome and mounting onto slides, performing immunohistochemical tests on FFPE tissue, routine and special staining procedures, orientation and embedding of surgical specimens, stain preparation, ensuring accurate test results, operating and maintaining manual and automated instruments, logging equipment data, preventive maintenance, and following QC and SOP policies. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Histology or related chemical/biological science with 2+ years histology experience; ASCP certifications encouraged. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Histology OR a Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Histology, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology with 2 or more years of histology experience
