Job Summary
PRN Float Pool RN position providing nursing care in a correctional facility setting. Responsibilities include assessing and delivering nursing care, administering medications, triage and intake screenings, patient education, accurate charting, coordinating multiple medical services, maintaining infection control and aseptic techniques, and supporting shift coverage across multiple facilities. Requires active RN license in the state of service and BLS certification; strong documentation, pharmacology, and knowledge of RN scope of practice are essential. May be directed to cover shifts at multiple correctional facilities and train new hires as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Active nursing license in the state in which services are to be provided
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent documentation skills
- Knowledge of the RN scope of practice
