Job Summary
PRN Float Pool RN needed to deliver direct nursing care, administer medications, monitor vital signs and diagnostics, perform triage, and coordinate multiple medical services within a correctional facility setting. Responsibilities include patient assessment and care planning, record-keeping and documentation, patient education on facility policies, ensuring infection control and aseptic technique, and collaboration with practitioners to support diagnosis and treatment. Must maintain confidentiality, adhere to HIPAA, and be capable of covering shifts across multiple correctional facilities as needed. Requires active RN license in the provided state and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Active nursing license in the state in which services are to be provided, in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent documentation skills
- Knowledge of the RN scope of practice
- HIPAA practices compliance
