Job Summary
PRN Float Pool-Registered Nurse provides nursing care across correctional facilities, administering prescribed medications and treatments, assessing patients, monitoring vital signs, triaging and prioritizing care, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and coordinating with multiple medical services. Responsibilities include collecting data for CQI, documenting accurately, educating patients on policies and discharge planning, maintaining aseptic techniques, applying pharmacology knowledge, and supporting back-up to site managers or supervisory staff. Must hold an active RN license in the servicing state and BLS certification, with strong documentation skills and RN scope knowledge for flexible, as-needed shifts across facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Active nursing license in the state in which services are to be provided, in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent documentation skills
- Knowledge of the RN scope of practice
