PRN EMT - Occupational Work

PRN EMT on construction-site in Dekalb, IL providing immediate emergency response, on-site medical care, injury prevention education, and proactive safety engagement across shifts. Responsibilities include responding to injuries, providing first aid, escorting employees to Occupational Health Clinics or Emergency Rooms when needed, documenting all incidents for reporting and compliance, and maintaining a ready-to-use quick-response bag. Proactively engage workers to reinforce safety, observe jobsite conditions, educate on hydration, fatigue management, PPE use, proper lifting techniques, early reporting of discomfort, and reinforcement of risk-reduction strategies with site leadership. Qualifications include active EMT or EMT-B certification (state of Michigan), prior emergency medical response or occupational first aid experience, calm and decisive demeanor under pressure, strong communication and organizational skills, and ability to work in a construction-site environment.
