Job Summary
Drive vehicles safely using defensive driving skills to transport clients from their homes to the center and for appointments. Load and unload clients, assist them in and out of vehicles, and ensure proper wheelchair securement when required. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and coordinate scheduled maintenance with the dispatcher. Coordinate participant rides, follow OSHA safety guidelines, and uphold client confidentiality. Maintain courteous, helpful, and professional behavior while participating in required training and meetings. Hold a current driver's license, CPR and first aid certification, and possess experience with frail or elderly populations.
Required Qualifications
- Holds and maintains a current Driver's license
- Possess CPR and basic first aid certification
- Ability to communicate verbally, with an excellent comprehension of the English language
- Has to drive company owned vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience in working with a frail or elderly population preferred
- Experienced in transporting individuals with special mobility needs preferred
