PRN Direct Care Registered Nurse II - Emergency Department

Direct Care Registered Nurse II in Emergency Department; provide competent nursing care using the nursing process in a high-acuity ED setting. Role requires RN licensure, BLS within 90 days of hire, ACLS within 1 year, and PALS or ENPC within 1 year. BSN or MSN preferred. ER experience (2 years preferred) and a rotating/PRN schedule at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA. The role encompasses assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, coordination of care, patient teaching, and evidence-based practice within a fast-paced emergency environment; adherence to standards of ethics, culturally congruent practice, collaboration, and professional performance. Certifications and per-diem flexibility are noted as part of the role’s expectations.
