PRN Dietary Aide

Job Summary
Prepares and pre-ports food for regular and therapeutic diets according to planned menus and direct orders. Handles food using proper safety techniques, cleans and sanitizes all preparation equipment, and completes general maintenance of the work area. Assists with stocking the Dietary department, operates dish machines, and maintains records regarding patient diet information. Utilizes concepts of age and developmental stages in interactions with patients and families while assessing and implementing safety precautions. Complies with infection prevention standards and completes required trainings as assigned. This position supports ClearSky Health's mission to transform lives through high-quality care in a medical rehabilitation setting.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Demonstrates proficiency with general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain quality, Infection Prevention, and safety standards
- Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality
- Ability to work closely and professionally with others at all levels of the organization
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling often for prolonged periods
- Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to hear overhead page
- Maintains regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule
- Completes required trainings, as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- 1 year experience in healthcare food services preferred
- Food Handler's permit preferred
