Job Summary
Perform hemodialysis treatments under Registered Nurse supervision in a correctional facility, monitoring vital signs, weight changes, and sterile technique while administering oxygen as directed. Conduct thorough patient assessments, obtain blood samples, and maintain accurate documentation of treatment parameters, logs, and laboratory reports. Execute unit maintenance tasks including machine cleaning, water system checks, and supply stocking to ensure safe, efficient operations. Collaborate with healthcare teams, DOC/BOP, and clients to coordinate care and promote a culture of safety and quality improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Nationally recognized Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician certification (CCHT) or equivalent
- Current CPR certification
- One year of clinical dialysis experience
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and satisfactorily communicate in English
- Strong technical/computer proficiency with laptops, tablets, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, etc.
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds
- Close vision and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to talk or hear
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
