Job Summary
PRN Dialysis RN in a correctional dialysis unit located in Somerset, PA (SCI Laurel Highlands). Provides hemodialysis care and RN-level responsibilities in a collaborative healthcare team. Responsibilities include patient assessments, dialysis treatments, care planning, documentation, coordination with nephrology/medical staff, infection control, patient education, QA participation, and ongoing adherence to unit operations and safety protocols. Must maintain RN licensure for PA, CPR certification, and English proficiency; prior hemodialysis experience is required with a preference for 2–3 years. Schedule is flexible with one shift per month requirement; unit operates six days per week in a correctional setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent
- Current PA RN License
- Current CPR certification (or within three months of hire)
- English language proficiency
- One year of Hemodialysis RN experience required (two to three years preferred)
