Job Summary
Correctional Dialysis RN delivers hemodialysis treatment and supervises nursing care in a Tucker, AR unit located within Norris Maximum Security Unit. The role requires RN licensure in Arkansas, CPR certification, English proficiency, and at least one year of hemodialysis RN experience (two to three years preferred). The RN uses assessment, technical, collaborative, documentation, and leadership skills daily to provide safe, high-quality care, communicates with the healthcare team and site representatives, and participates in overall care planning and education. Responsibilities include monitoring patient responses, adjusting therapy as needed, developing and evaluating care plans, ensuring accurate documentation, adhering to infection control practices, and supporting unit operations and QA activities. Schedule is Monday/Wednesday/Friday on a PRN basis; duties occur in a correctional healthcare setting with potential coordination with DOC/BOP and related entities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent
- Current RN License for Arkansas & current CPR certification (or within three months of hire)
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English
- One year of Hemodialysis RN experience is required (two to three years of experience preferred); experience within past two years
