PRN Dialysis Patient Care Technician

PRN Dialysis Technician provides hands-on dialysis therapy under the supervision of a licensed nurse in sub-acute hemodialysis within a skilled nursing or long-term care setting. Responsibilities include initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments, monitoring pre- and post-treatment vitals and vascular access, operating and inspecting hemodialysis machines, administering heparin as permitted by state law, documenting treatments and preparing lab specimens, and delivering compassionate service while maintaining a safe, clean environment. Must thrive in a team and possess strong communication, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills; requires High School Diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, dialysis certification, and at least two years of dialysis technician experience. Prolonged standing and lifting up to 25 lbs are part of the role.
