Job Summary
Assist the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry under direct supervision, preparing and sterilizing instruments, maintaining the operatory, and operating radiographic equipment. Perform administrative tasks as needed while maintaining current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR certification. Obtain a Tennessee Dental Assistant license and security clearance, including drug screening and criminal background check, within the first year of employment. Earn $23 per hour for per diem shifts at the Women's Therapeutic Residential Center in Henning, Tennessee.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its recognized equivalent
- Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six months of experience as a dental assistant
- Tennessee DA license or ability to obtain license
- Must maintain current tuberculosis screening documentation
- Active CPR certification
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant
- Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays
