Job Summary
PRN Respiratory Therapist to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and provide evidence-based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing per physician orders and established protocols. Requires BLS and ACLS at minimum, with NRP and PALS to be obtained within 1 year of hire; current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license and NBRC registration; and at least 6 months of respiratory care experience. Responsibilities include clear communication, relationship-building, accountability, professional growth, and contributing to a collaborative patient-care environment. Location-focused: Methodist Midlothian Medical Center (Midlothian, TX) with additional Kennedale, TX site; typical schedule is 12 hours per week, PRN, Monday–Friday with rotating weekends, working in-person within an acute care hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must obtain within 1 year of hire
- Licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience
