Job Summary
Reviews menus and prepares meals in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. Processes diet changes, serves substitute foods, and maintains standardized portion control while ensuring all utensils and equipment are provided for resident trays. Assists in establishing the food service production line, maintains adequate stock levels, and performs daily cleaning duties. Treats all residents with dignity, adheres to safety and hygiene measures, and reports any noncompliance, abuse, or occupational exposures to appropriate personnel. Maintains food storage areas, assists in inventorying incoming supplies, and participates in all life safety drills and emergency plans.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Current/ Active Food Handlers Permit
- Must be 18 years of age
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year dietary/food service experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred (but not necessary)
