Job Summary
Prepare and serve meals to residents in an assisted living facility, ensuring meals are appealing, nourishing, and served safely in compliance with regulations and SHO policies. Responsibilities include following dietary menus and substitutions, possibly preparing alternate menu options for residents needing special accommodations, assisting with meal setup, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, serving residents with portion control, assisting with inventory and storage, promoting teamwork, and providing on-the-job training for new dietary staff. Staff must follow safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies, uphold resident rights, and be prepared to work within a flexible schedule that may include full-time, part-time, or on-call hours. Qualifications emphasize a high school diploma or equivalent, culinary training preferred, 2-3 years kitchen experience, and fluency in English.
