Job Summary
Clean and sanitize assigned areas including restrooms, break rooms, offices, hallways, and public spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors, carpets, and hard surfaces. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste, dust surfaces, and stock cleaning supplies. Report maintenance issues for broken fixtures, plumbing, or lighting. Follow health and safety regulations regarding chemical use and facility cleanliness policies. Assist with special projects like deep cleaning or window washing. This PRN role at Gateway Rehab's adult inpatient facility in Washington, PA, requires a criminal background check, child abuse and FBI fingerprinting clearances, and drug screen. Flexibility for night and weekend shifts is needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment (vacuum, buffer, etc.) and safely handle cleaning chemicals
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good physical stamina; ability to stand, bend, lift, and move around for extended periods
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for prolonged periods of time
- Flexibility in working hours, including nights and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cleaning technician, janitor, or in a similar role
