Job Summary
PRN COTA provides direct occupational therapy to residents under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, implementing treatment plans and collaborating with the rehab team. Responsibilities include educating treatment staff and family, documenting care per rehab requirements, and contributing to residents’ motor skills improvement and independence. Opportunity to treat at multiple locations within the organization, with a focus on delivering individualized, resident-centered therapy in a post-acute/long-term care setting. Must hold an accredited two-year associate degree for the COTA role and be or become licensed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) education from an accredited two-year associate degree program
- Hold a valid or pending State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License
- Ability to implement treatment plans under supervision and collaborate with Occupational Therapist
- Documentation compliance within rehab department and facility
