Job Summary
PRN Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides rehabilitative services under an Occupational Therapist, assisting with assessments of residents' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning to evaluate daily living activities and instrumental activities of daily living. Implements individualized treatment plans including therapeutic exercises and interventions, uses adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to enhance independence, documents progress and outcomes, and collaborates with OT, nursing and allied staff to coordinate care. Maintains licensure and adheres to professional standards, participates in team meetings and discharge planning, and stays current with best practices and regulatory changes. Requires at least 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility and state licensure or eligibility; typically scheduled as PRN/on-call for Day Shift in Mayfield Heights, OH.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- At least 1 year of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a COTA in the state where work is performed
- Clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred
- Strong clinical skills in providing rehabilitative services to individuals with a variety of diagnoses and functional limitations
