PRN Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Summary
Deliver delegated personal care services including activities of daily living, restorative care, skin care, mobility, nutritional support, and vital signs under the supervision of a Unity RN. Monitor respiratory status, bowel and bladder needs, and pain ratings while reading CADD pump settings and reporting immediate changes in patient condition or family situations to the interdisciplinary team. Maintain confidentiality, uphold state and federal regulations, and adjust to frequently changing demands in end-of-life care settings. This PRN role requires a minimum 32-hour monthly commitment with flexible day shifts at the Meng Residence or community-based locations, including potential weekend and holiday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a certified nursing assistant program
- Must be listed on the Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Registry and be eligible to work at state and federally certified facilities
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle
- Minimum commitment of 32 hours per month
- Flexibility to pick up weekend and holiday shifts
- Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Highly motivated and organized with a strong attention to detail and analytical skills to help solve problems
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
- Ability to keep up to date with policies, practices, and regulations
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and capable of dealing with deadline pressures
- Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of Unity
- Satisfy mandatory training requirements regarding local, state, and federal regulations and/or Unity's policies and procedures
- Ability to adjust to frequently changing demands
