Job Summary
Provide direct patient care under nurse supervision, including assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, toileting, and walking. Monitor patients for assessments and report findings, while ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment through crisis intervention. Transport patients and equipment, and assist with admission paperwork and patient orientation. Participate in and assist with recreational and therapeutic activities. Maintain medical records by completing, filing, and retrieving documents. Requires CNA certification; CPI and CPR certifications are provided upon training. Position involves unscheduled overtime, after-hours, and weekend work with flexible hours. Lifting objects up to 50 pounds is required.
Required Qualifications
- CNA Certification
- CMS Restraint and Seclusion training
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours
- Job will require frequent lifting of objects up to 50 pounds
- Position may require unscheduled overtime, after-hours, and week-end work
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) to two (2) years' in a mental health, patient care, or geriatric setting
