Job Summary
PRN Certified Nursing Assistant (MHT) provides direct patient care under the supervision of nurses in a psychiatric hospital setting. Responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living (bathing, eating, dressing, toileting), maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, crisis intervention, monitoring and reporting patient status to supervisors, completing admissions paperwork and orienting patients to the facility, and assisting with recreational and therapeutic activities. Requires CNA certification and CPI certification (or prior training) with yearly refreshers, plus CMS Restraint and Seclusion training (or prior training) with yearly refreshers. CPR certification is not required at hire but will be provided yearly. Position may require unscheduled overtime, after-hours, and weekend work; travel may be required; ability to work flexible hours; frequent lifting up to 50 pounds. EOE.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification required
- CPI certification (or training completed prior to direct patient care) with yearly refreshers
- CMS Restraint and Seclusion training (or training completed prior to direct patient care) with yearly refreshers
